Avening Walks
8 Walks Around Avening   Avening is situated a Cotswold valley, amidst stunning natural scenery in every direction. We benefit from a network of public footpaths giving excellent access to open fields, wooded walks, and tranquil corners.  The information on this page gives a selection of circular walks around Avening to help you see the best of the area, and get to know the village. We would love to hear about your favourite walk, so why not tell us about it, and why it is special. This collection of walks has been collated and updated by Cllr Tony Slater, from material originally compiled in 1980 by the Avening Society as part of the celebrations for the 900th anniversary of the consecration of Avening Church.  Additional walks have been added following a competition organised by the Parish Council. The timings are approximate and depend on how quickly you walk, and how much you pause to enjot the sights. Please respect people's privacy, keep to paths and roads, and follow the Country Code.
